Veronica Ucciferri obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with honors, and Master of Science in Counseling Education, both in Florida International University. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH17275), member of the American Counseling Association and Florida Mental Health Counselors Association.
Veronica is fluent in both English and Spanish, and has extensive experience working with the immigrant community. She treats people of all ages who present with a myriad of issues ranging from depression, anxiety, life transitions, PTSD, identity issues related to race, acculturation stress, interpersonal conflicts and behavioral issues. She provides individual, couples, family and group therapy.
Her therapeutical approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory combining evidence-based techniques from multiple theoretical orientations in order to help individuals to achieve their goals. Veronica is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) to help process and heal from past trauma.
